How Tix Helped Jameson Connects Achieve Faster Check-Ins and Efficient Ticketing

Jameson Connects always has a large and energetic crowd, and each year, Jameson Nigeria sets specific goals to ensure that they’re creating a smooth experience for all of them. For this edition, their goals focused on improving their ticketing process, faster check-ins, and providing efficient on-site assistance to vendors and attendees. In this article, we’ll share how we achieved all of this and more!

Our Goals

• Streamline ticketing, including a simple invite-only system for Jameson Nigeria’s VIP guests.
• Ensure a fast and efficient check-in process, minimizing queues at entry points and keeping each attendee’s check-in under a minute.
• Provide dedicated on-site support for vendors and attendees.

How We Achieved This

After reviewing these goals, we guided the Jameson team to sign up on Tix, provided them with dedicated account management, and discussed their on-site support staff needs to ensure a smooth event experience. 

In the weeks prior to the event, we prepared a well-structured check-in plan and assigned our experienced event assistants to critical locations. On the day of the event, our on-site operations team ensured we had:

• 9 support staff at the entrance check-in station to facilitate fast entry.
• 2 support staff at the main Jameson bar and 1 support staff each at 2 other Jameson bars inside the venue.
• Dedicated support staff at each vendor stand.
• On-the-ground Product Growth Manager to handle attendee inquiries and ensure smooth operations.

QR codes for quick check-ins

To minimize long wait times and ensure guests can start enjoying events immediately, each Tix ticket email always comes with a unique QR code that can be scanned using the Tix app for quick check-in. At Jameson Connects, attendees simply presented their QR codes at the entry point, where our staff scanned them to validate tickets and issue event wristbands within seconds. This helped us reduce congestion at the entrance and maintained a steady flow of guests into the venue.

Invite-only ticketing for Jameson’s VIP guests

For Jameson Nigeria’s special guests, we used Tix’s invite-only ticketing feature to send digital tickets directly. This eliminated the need to manually check through guest lists at the entrance and made sure that VIPs could avoid any check-in delays. Our invite-only tickets also gave the organizers better control over access to their event.
