Why I Love Living In Toronto: Coffee, Parks, And Greenery
InMyCity is a series where we showcase the unique stories and recommendations of people from cities all over the world. From hidden gems to popular spots, we want to discover what makes each city special through the eyes of each person.
In this feature, Dami takes us through what she loves about living in Toronto, from her go-to coffee spot to the city’s green spaces and walkability.
Where To Eat
Toronto’s food scene is endless and amazing. The diversity in cuisine is wild. For brunch, I love Daphne – the food and service are always excellent, and the space is gorgeous.
For Coffee Lovers
I love coffee, and the coffee culture here is amazing. From speciality shops to chains that don’t feel like chains, there’s something for even the most niche of coffee interests. My favourite coffee shop is Jimmy’s. Even though it’s a chain, it maintains the local coffee shop feel, and the coffee is great.
Things To Do
Toronto is a city where there’s always something exciting happening like Cirque du Soleil coming to town.
Outdoors and Green Spaces
One of the things I love most about Toronto is how green it is. Toronto is a green city full of trails and parks. I love that I can live in the city and still enjoy spaces like this.
Walkability
It’s an extremely walkable city with wide sidewalks everywhere, so I find myself walking for hours, even in winter.
