Building Tix UK
For years, we've watched something exciting happen.
African music, food, fashion and culture have grown far beyond the continent. Every week, creators and organisers are bringing incredible experiences to cities across the UK, building communities that feel just as vibrant as the ones back home. If you've been paying attention, you've probably noticed it too.
Over the past year, we've had the privilege of working with many of these organisers, helping them sell tickets and manage their events. Now, we're making it official.
Tix is launching in the UK.
When we launched Tix in 2019, our ambition wasn't to build a ticketing platform for a single city or even a single country. We wanted to help organisers across Africa to sell tickets in their local currencies and to build a platform that truly understood their needs.
Today, that same ambition is taking us beyond the continent.
We're not launching in the UK because we're chasing a new market. We're launching because the communities we already serve have become increasingly global. Organisers who started in Lagos and Accra are now producing experiences in London, Manchester and Birmingham. Others have built thriving communities in the UK from the ground up. They all face the same challenge: they need technology that understands events, their audiences and what it takes to grow a community.
That's where Tix comes in.
We've spent years obsessing over the details that make running events easier: from selling tickets and managing admissions to helping organisers reach the right audiences. Every feature we've built has come from listening to organisers and solving real problems.
As we grow, that philosophy won't change. We'll continue learning from organisers, adapting to the needs of each new market, and building products that make it easier than ever to host events.
While our roots are proudly Nigerian, our ambition has always stretched far beyond Lagos. Great experiences deserve great technology, wherever they happen.
What excites me most isn't simply launching in another country. It's the opportunity to build alongside a new community, learn from them, and continue shaping Tix into the platform that powers incredible experiences everywhere.
